This workshop is for the beginner caster or as a review for the intermediate caster. The goal of the class is to provide students with a solid foundation of the casting mechanics. The workshop will introduce casting fundamentals covering the pick-up lay down cast, the false cast, and the roll cast.
Jim Duke has been teaching casting workshops for many years. He is best known for teaching the casting classes for Jimmy’s All Seasons Anglers. For this reason, he has developed a style that is patient and geared towards teaching methods that are especially suited to beginners. There will be rods and reels available for those that do not have equipment. Please join Jim to learn the basics of fly casting.
