Some of these patterns will include a woven body green/brown drake, as well as a midge Chris created and named the Daniel’s for its effectiveness on this Southeast Idaho still water and other local reservoirs and rivers.
Chris hails from West Bountiful Utah, has been fly fishing for 28 years and tying flies for 31 years. Chris primarily fishes still waters now but started out fishing the Logan and Provo Rivers. He has taken multiple trips to the Snake River outside of Mountain Home and has spent many days on Treasureton and Daniel’s reservoirs in Southern Idaho. Chris works with the Bonneville Fly Fishers to teach classes to veterans in Utah and has demonstrated for local school children at hunting and conservation shows in Salt Lake City. He is a Moonlit Fly Fishing Ambassador, and ties flies for Snake River Fly Shop in Pocatello as well as a couple of guides in Idaho including Hammett Valley Fishers, and 2 that service the Provo and Weber rivers in Utah.
